Employment classification of sample establishment is determined by its total employment (TE). The following are the employment size classification used in establishment census/survey:

1 5 - 9
2 10 - 19
3 20 - 49
4 50 - 99
5 100 - 199
6 200 - 499
7 500 - 999
8 1000 - 1999
9 2000 & over
Class is a 1-letter code to describe the size of the esatablishments. Large establishments are those establishments with total emploment of 20 and over of TE codes 3 to 9. On the other hand, small establishments are those establishments with total emploment of less than 20.
