Description
Text
Stratum - a subpopulation in which a sampling fraction proortionate to that of the total population is applied
Stratification - the process of grouping members of the population into relatively homogeneous subgroups before sampling. The strata should be mutually exclusive: every element in the population must be assigned to only one stratum. The strata should also be collectively exhaustive: no population element can be excluded.
In each region, a stratified, three-stage cluster sampling design was employed: the selection of sample barangays for the first stage, of sample enumeration areas (EAs) for the second stage, and of sample housing units for the third stage.
