Ownership of household conveniences - refer to ownership of certain items will be used as a rough measure of the socio-economic status of the household:
1 - Electricity
2 - Radio/radio casette
3 - Television
4 - Landline telephone
5 - Cellular phone
6 - Washing machine
7 - Refrigerator/freezer
8 - CD/VCD/DVD player
9 - Component/karaoke
10 - Personal computer
Also considered as owned are items that are:
1. under a mortgage plan;
2. temporarily borrowed by someone; or
3. broken but there is an intention to have it repaired.
