The purpose in asking question is to determine whether or not the family makes use of any form of credit in financing the family's entrepreneurial activities.
Loans that were borrowed for the reason that these are to be used for the aforementioned activities but were actually used for other purposes should be included. On the other hand, exclude loans borrowed and used purposely for personal needs of the family such as food, housing, education, clothing, etc.
Consider also loans borrowed within the reference period by a member of the family who at the time of the interview is no longer a member of the household. Example, a person who was able to avail of a loan for the family's economic activity got married and lived separately. In such a case, consider the loan availed of by the person although he no longer lives with the family at the time of interview.
Loans borrowed/approved but have not been released will likewise be excluded.
Encircle Code “1” if the family availed of a credit. Otherwise, encircle Code “2” and skip to question J3.
