In addition to the house where they usually reside, ask the respondent whether his family owns any other housing unit elsewhere which they also use as residence. This refers to vacation house(s) or rest house(s) owned by the family aside from their usual residence. It also refers to a house in a city or in a poblacion owned and maintained by the family because it is near their place of work or school.
If the respondent answered YES, encircle code 1 and ask for the imputed rent per month. Write the amount in the line provided for it. If the response is NO, encircle code 2 and leave the line for imputed rent blank. Enter the appropriate code in the box provided.
If the family owns other housing unit(s) rented out to others, the answer to this question should be NO. For an answer of YES to be considered as acceptable, the other housing unit(s) should only be for residential use of the family.
However, if during the past six months, the other housing unit owned by the family was rented out to others for some months and for the remaining of the six months, was used as residence by the family, then enter here the imputed rental value multiplied by the number of months it was used as residence by the family, divided by six. The value of rental for some months should be reported as rentals received from non-agricultural lands, buildings, spaces and other properties in Section N, Other Sources of Income.
