Description
Health facilities are institutions where the sick or injured are given medical or surgical care and these facilities include government hospital, private hospital, private clinic, rural health unit/health center, barangay health stations and others.
Each member of the family is asked if he/she had visited any health facility during the period specified. Visiting a facility does not mean visiting a relative or friend, bringing a child or a sick relative, etc. in a hospital or clinic. The member visited a facility because he/she consulted or was confined.
The corresponding codes for the response are the following:
1 Yes, out-patient
2 Yes, in-patient
3 Yes, both
4 No
