Alternative health care modalities used - if the respondent or any member of the household has ever tried "acupuncture" as an alternative health care modality
Acupuncture - a branch and methodology of traditional Chinese medicine dealing with the treatment of disease by stimulating certain acupuncture points or trigger (ashi) by a needle so as to regulate proper circulation, production, and storage of qi and blood through the regulating action of the jing luo (channels) and their collaterals (branches). Acupuncture came from the Latin words "acus" which means needle and "pungere" which means to prick.
