Heard of heart disease - if the respondent has ever heard of the disease called heart disease
This questions is asked to the respondent to measure her/his knowledge about heart disease, one of the cardio vascular diseases (CVD).
CVD is one of the leading causes of deaths of the decade. It is the group of disorders of heart and blood vessels. It includes:
• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Coronary heart disease (heart attack)
• Cerebrovascular disease (stroke)
• Peripheral vascular disease
• Heart failure
• Rheumatic heart disease
• Congenital heart disease
• Cardiomyopathics
