The supervisor may also assign a different interviewer to conduct the interview. A third person (translator) may also be tapped in extreme cases.

Language of the respondent - refers to local language or dialect the respondent prefers or is most comfortable using.
The questionnaires for the NDHS have been translated from English into six major local dialects, namely, Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, Bicol, Hiligaynon, and Waray.
The coding system used were as follows:
1 - Tagalog
2 - Cebuano
3 - Ilocano
4 - Bicol
5 - Hiligaynon
6 - Waray
7 - English
8 - Others (specify)
