Description
Tenure status of lot - refers to the tenure status of the lot occupied by the household
This question is also a rough measure of the economic status of the household.
The categories and codes for the tenure status of the lot are as follows:
1 - Owned/being amortized - the household is the owner and has legal possession of the lot or the household claims to own it. This also includes house owners paying the land on installment basis or holders of certificate of land under the Land Reform Program, or house/lot awardees of housing loan from PAG-IBIG, Social Security System, Government Service Insurance System, or commercial banks.
2 - Rented - if there is a fixed amount paid by the occupant in cash or in kind.
3 - Rent-free, with consent of owner - if the household occupies the lot with the permission of the owner and without paying any rent in cash or in kind to the owner, tenant/lessee or subtenant/sublessee.
4 - Rent-free, without consent of owner - if the household occupies the lot without the permission of the owner.
For multistorey buildings as in condominium, the tenure status of lot will follow the tenure status of the housing unit.
