Description
Method of drinking-water purification - refers to the way the household makes their drinking water safe for drinking
The different methods (and their corresponding code) of treating water are:
A - Boiling. Drinking water is considered as boiled if it has been boiled for at least two minutes after reaching the boiling point. Boiled water for infant's milk and adult's coffee are not considered as boiling water for drinking. However, boiling drinking water for children, should be regarded as boiling.
B - Chlorination - refers to the chlorination done by the household and not the one done by the Maynilad Water Services, Incorporated (MWSI) or other local water districts.
C - Filter equipment - when commercial equipment intended to filter drinking water are used.
D - Improvised filter - examples of these are cloth, foam, and other improvised gadgets attached to the faucet to filter the water.
X - Others (specify) - treatment of drinking water other than mentioned above
