This question is not asked if the respondent's source of drinking water is within the household compound, that is, community water system piped into dwelling (11) or yard/plot (12). It is also not asked if the household collects rainwater (51), gets water from a tanker truck/peddler (61), or source of drinking water is others (96).
Convert the answer to minutes and prefix “0,” if necessary. For example, “30 minutes” would be “030," and “one hour and a half” would be “090.”
If the source of water is on the property, for example a stream that runs through the yard, encircle “996” for “on premises”. For delivered bottled water, record “000” in the boxes.
