Administrative data are collections of data held by offices in the government and the private sector, collected and used for non-statistical purposes. It is the by-product of administrative system developed primarily for administrative and operational purposes (registration, transaction and record-keeping) and can include, among others, commercial data held by the private sector. Studies in this category include statistics whose main sources of information are administrative records from other government agencies. These include the Commodity Flow in the Philippines, Construction Statistics from Approved Building Permits, Foreign Trade Statistics of the Philippines, and Vital Statistics Reports on Deaths and Marriages in the Philippines, among others.
