The Commodity Flow in the Philippines is a compilation system of the Philippine Statistics Authority which generates comprehensive statistics on regional commodity flow by mode of transport. The system includes detailed statistics on the quantity and value of coastwise, air and rail trade by commodity, port of origin and destination. A publication is produced annually.
Data on the inflow and outflow of commodities in the different regions are used to construct inter regional and inter-industry relation tables. These serve as bases in the formulation and implementation of the various regional development programs like countryside development and port planning.
